Word of the Year

Word of the Year
Ditch the Resolutions: My Operating System for a Landmark 2026

Another year is on the horizon, and with it comes the familiar pressure of setting New Year's resolutions. More hustle. Bigger goals. A longer to-do list. But what if we're approaching it all wrong? What if the secret to a truly transformational year isn't about adding more, but about anchoring to something deeper?

For years, I've been on a journey from a life focused on "more"—more money, a bigger house, better things—to a life centered on a single, profound desire: to one day hear the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." This has changed everything for me. It's the reason I build businesses, the reason I explore the intersection of faith and wellness, and the reason I'm so passionate about helping others find their vitality.

As I prayed and sought direction for 2026, a year where I'll be diving deep into my work as a Faith-Based AI Wellness Futurist, I realized a list of goals wouldn't be enough. I needed a compass. A single word to guide every decision, every action, every thought.

My word for 2026 is FAITHFUL.

It's not a glamorous word. It doesn't scream ‘hustle’ or ‘breakthrough.’ But it’s a word of immense power. It’s about character. It’s about stewardship. It’s about showing up, day in and day out, and doing the work God has called me to do, whether it’s seen or unseen, celebrated or ignored.

Faithfulness is the anchor in the storm of entrepreneurship. It’s the quiet confidence that my identity is in being a child of God, not in the success of my companies. It’s the commitment to manage what He has given me—my businesses, my platform, my health—as a good steward, not a controlling owner.

But a word alone is just an idea. To bring it to life, it needs a rhythm. An operating system. That’s why I’m not just adopting a word for 2026; I’m building my days around a simple, powerful structure I’m calling the Kingdom Framework.

It’s built on the principle of Matthew 6:33: "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." This isn't just a nice sentiment; it's a strategic command for how to order our lives.

The Kingdom Framework: A Daily Operating System

The framework consists of two simple, sacred containers:

1. Morning Routine: Kingdom First

This is my non-negotiable start to the day. Before the emails, before the business strategy, before the world gets my energy, I set the system. It’s a sacred block of time for alignment with my Creator. It’s where I express gratitude, seek His guidance for the day, listen for His voice, and ensure that I am seeking His kingdom first. It’s about starting the day anchored, not adrift.

2. Evening Routine: Kingdom Rest

If the morning is for setting the system, the evening is for clearing it. This is a time to intentionally disconnect from the demands of the day and enter a state of gratitude and reflection. It’s a container to learn from the Lord, to release the outcomes of the day into His hands, and to prepare for a night of restorative rest, trusting that He is at work even while I sleep.

Your Invitation

I’m sharing this not as a prescription, but as an invitation. What would it look like for you to ditch the endless resolutions and instead anchor your year to a single, God-given word? What daily operating system could you create to bring that word to life?

For 2026, my focus is clear. It’s not about being successful; it’s about being FAITHFUL. It’s not about building my own empire; it’s about starting each day with Kingdom First and ending it with Kingdom Rest.

I believe this is the path to true vitality—a life where our spiritual, physical, and entrepreneurial health are all aligned to a single, glorious purpose. I’m excited to walk this path in 2026, and I invite you to join me on the journey.
